Summary
Hamsters were infected by the intranasal route with para influenza 3 virus. One tissue culture infectious dose was sufficient to infect hamsters. Quantity of virus produced in the lung was the same, 105.9 to 106.9, during infection with virus grown only in tissue culture or virus passaged in hamsters. Infected hamsters developed high levels of CF antibody specific for para influenza 3 virus.
