Abstract
Summary
The effects of cholic and hyo-deoxycholic acids on mouse liver and carcass cholesterol mobilization were investigated. Cholic acid inhibited liver cholesterol mobilization, while hyodeoxycholic acid promoted a rapid elimination of accumulated liver cholesterol. Hyodeoxycholic acid reversed the inhibition caused by cholic acid. Neither of these substances effected the rate of carcass cholesterol mobilization.
