Abstract
Summary
Changes in serum proteins and mitotic activity in the liver of Lewis rats were studied after partial hepatectomy or sham operation, at intervals of 6 hours to 15 days. A rise of beta-globulin fraction roughly paralleled the rise in mitotic activity. Serum protein changes in sham-operated animals showed a similar trend but were less pronounced.
