Abstract
Summary
Serum alkaline phosphatase was found to be higher in most cases between 2 and 26 weeks of age in a line bred for high alkaline phosphatase than in a random bred control line. The level in the male was higher than the female during the growing period, but lower at later ages. There were no differences due to line or sex at hatching.
