Abstract
Summary
1. Positive ring tests and PCA reactions were observed between pepsin-degraded BSA and some of the BSA absorbed anti-BSA rabbit serums, suggesting the presence of the antibody against antigenic determinants which are not on the surface of the native protein molecule. 2. The presence of the antibody to the “hidden sites” did not parallel the concentration of anti-BSA in the serum but rather seemed to be related to the state of the antigen used in the immunization, and to the immunization schedule.
