Summary
When the factor of high water content is eliminated, slices of kidney from the fetal rabbit accumulate as much PAH from surrounding medium as those from the adult. Slices of kidney from newborn rabbit are significantly deficient (p = <.01) in this function when compared to those from fetus or adult.
