Summary
Using an eight-day method for screening compounds against experimental visceral leishmaniasis, the following compounds showed activity in hamster or mouse infection or in both: amphotericin B (and Fungizone), fumagillin, nystatin, Sb dimercaptosuccinate and xerosin. The activity of Fungizone is especially noteworthy.
