Abstract
Conclusions
1. Histidine produces a small decrease in adrenal ascorbic acid concentration in normal rats, but not in rats with hypothalamic lesions interrupting the supra-optico-hypophysial tract. 2. Hypothalamic lesions or hypophysectomy produce a decrease in the response of tryptophan peroxidase to histidine but fail to block the response completely.
