Abstract
Both the following editorial—by Dr Craig Lihenthal, and the case history comment, Rogers v Whitaker—the duty to communicate, were first published in the twentieth issue of the Australasian Journal of the Medical Defence Union (1993, No2).
Australasian Psychiatry gratefcdly acknowledges the permission of the Editor (Australia) of the Australian Journal of the MDU to reprint these two pieces for the information of College Fellows.
