Abstract
On the basis of the author's experience as an examiner in psychiatry for the Royal College of Physicians in Canada, and following some ‘mock-oral” evaluations while on sabbatical in New Zealand, some suggestions are made about passing post-graduate clinical and oral examinations in psychiatry.
