Review of CT scans from 198 consecutive patients demonstrated that 33% of 82 patients with sinusitis demonstrated a concha bullosa on at least one side. The incidence in 116 controls was 11%. This statistically significant difference suggests concha bullosa is somehow related to sinonasal disease.
