A total of 777 male undergraduates were randomly selected from different faculties of Kuwait University. Their mean age was 20.2 yr. (SD ± 1.4). The respondents were administered a precoded questionnaire: 42.2% of these students reported themselves to be cigarette smokers, and 56.5% reported being nonsmokers.
