Schmeck's inventory of learning process, a measure of learning styles, was administered to 925 undergraduate students in Jordan. Analysis indicated that the four factors in Schmeck's conception of learning styles explained a total of only 20.8% of the variance. Schmeck's conception of learning did not describe adequately the learning styles of these Arabic university students.
