Two new factors of personality are described, Group Tolerance and Individual Tolerance, which are relatively independent (i.e., uncorrelated). The latter relates negatively to intelligence, so that those of higher intelligence possess less, or lower, individual tolerance, although it is quite possible for a person of higher intelligence to be group tolerant. The implications of these findings are discussed.
