The influence of job security and compensation policies, expressed in written scenarios, on future job applicants' (103 college students) ratings was examined. Favorable attitudes toward the company and intention to consider employment with the organization were rated significantly higher when the firm adopted a policy assuring reasonable commitment to job security.
