Results of the present (and fourth) survey were based on responses of 190 (61%) of the 311 persons who received BAs in psychology from Marquette University between 1983 and 1988. Consistent with earlier studies, results indicated that a significantly lower proportion of women than men applied to graduate programs in psychology and associated fields.
