In addition to French's 1991 idea that we need to have treatment of sex offenders which carries over from prison to the real world environment, it is suggested that there is also an urgent need for (a) monitoring the sex offender after release from incarceration and (b) postconfinement treatment, similar to that provided by Alcoholics Anonymous.
