Scores of 54 students completing the ASSET placement test and the Enhanced ACT and attending a four-year college were analyzed to assess the associations among the tests. Moderate Pearson correlations between ASSET Numerical skills and ACT Mathematics total and ACT Pre-Algebra/Elementary Algebra subscores were noted. A moderate correlation of .74 was obtained between ASSET Reading scores and ACT composite scores. These values suggest some concurrent validity.
