Abstract
Four-point 16 PF codes were determined for a group of 347 male offenders incarcerated in a state reception and diagnostic center. Inmates were administered the 16 PF as part of an assessment battery used for purposes of recommending reconsideration of sentence. The findings from the present study were highly successful in cross-validating the incidence of four-point codes reported by Wallbrown, Reuter, and Barnett (1988) as well as their differences from the standardization sample on primaries, secondaries, and motivational distortion.
