The Anger Expression Scale and Smoking Behavior Questionnaire were administered to 580 undergraduate students (222 men and 358 women). No differences were found on the Anger-In or Anger-Control scales of the Anger Expression Scale for Current Smokers, Occasional Smokers, Exsmokers, and Nonsmokers. Occasional smokers had higher scores on the Anger-Out Scale than Nonsmokers. No sex differences were found on the three scales. Implications of the findings are discussed.
