Although emotional problems were substantive but similar among 45 hospitalized psychiatric patients, those in the Sheltered Workshop were older than those in Industrial Therapy and Vocational Rehabilitation. The youngest group showed higher scores on visual, auditory, and delayed visual memory as well as on fine motor skills of the McCarron Assessment of Neuromuscular Development. Continuation of contact and services from the hospital is desirable.
