The MMPI was administered in Spanish to 30 male monolingual Hispanic federal prisoners and readministered after an average of 115 days in confinement. Mean scores on the second administrations were higher on four clinical scales (D, Pd, Pt, Ma), suggesting deterioration rather than improvement, in adjustment to incarceration.
