This paper examined the major social correlates of alienation found earlier in the empirical studies obtained with US and Eastern samples to see if they held among college students in Hong Kong. 154 students enrolled in a public-supported college in Hong Kong were administered a revised form of the alienation scale developed by Zeller, Neal, and Groat. Analyses indicated that similar to most findings obtained from Taiwanese, only school class standing and type of parenting were significant.
