The application of factor and duster analysis procedures to the group and role identifications of a sample of 141 women results in a set of readily interpretable social identities. The obtained social identities are then related via dummy variable regression analysis to attitudes, with the results being interpreted in terms of reference-group theory. The paper closes with some cautions and suggestions for research.
