Abstract
The success of candidates who write the Medical Record Administration Registration Examination is based on a pass/fail system based on a cut-off score established by the American Medical Record Association. Previous studies were conducted to determine the efficiency of the registration examination. Because the test scores are reported by subject area, a second important question arises—is there an association between the efficiency points for each subject area test and that for the total test? Previous studies are summarized and the issue of associations among subject area and total score efficiency points addressed.
