Disparity in the psychological dimension of competitiveness and the conceptualization of competition prompted the need for a reliable instrument to measure knowledge of competition. Results of this study indicate that the Competition Knowledge Test is reliable. Internal consistency (.89, split-half) and stability (.88, test-retest) coefficients for 178 and 130 college students respectively, denote suitable test reliability.
