Studies Show People Still Willing to Help a Stranger,but Especially a Woman

Abstract

Five field studies indicate that most people will help anyone, even a stranger, who requests their help. But also, people are more willing to help women than men and, under most circumstances, people who are well dressed rather than poorly dressed.
