The study examined concurrent and predictive validity of two group intelligence tests in 110 institutionalized white delinquents with a mean age of 15 yr., 4 mo. Scores on the Otis-Lennon Mental Abilities Test and the Culture-Fair Intelligence Test correlated .67 with each other. The latter scores were greater than the former for 82.7% of the subjects. The prediction criterion of scores on Scale B of the High School Personality Questionnaire correlated .61 with Otis-Lennon scores and .39 with Culture-Fair scores. The Otis-Lennon was more appropriate as a brief measure of intelligence, but concurrent and predictive validity of both tests for different ethnic groups need study.
