34 subjects with colostomy and 32 subjects with ileostomy were studied with Ro, Beck's Depression Inventory and ERS-scale of MMPI. The results showed that the stomy-operation did not have any dramatic psychic effect, but the assumed psychosomatic personality constellation was still dominant, though the disease was “over.”
