Abstract
This study examined the stability of the Drug Misuse scale of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory in a clinical sample. The inventory was administered to clients in various drug-treatment programs at intake and again several times during the course of treatment. Stability coefficients computed for scale scores at intake and 1 mo. (.45 and .55) and intake and 3 mo. (.56) into treatment were lower than expected. The obtained coefficient of .74 for the 1- and 3-mo. administrations is more satisfactory and may reflect the greater psychological stability of subjects after a period of drug withdrawal and initiation into treatment.
