The present study refers to the influence of attractiveness of ‘offenders’ (male and female) on judgment and treatment of them in a simulated jury task (120 subjects). Analysis shows that there is no influence of attractiveness provided offenders do not differ in other qualities. The different results of Efran (1974) and Sigall and Ostrove (1975) could be interpreted in terms of inequality of stimulus persons on dimensions other than attractiveness.
