Attitudes toward the rights and roles of contemporary women of prospective teachers in two cultures were measured and compared. Results indicated both cultural and sex differences with the 193 Canadian subjects showing more liberal attitudes toward women than their 245 Philippine counterparts and with the females in both cultural groups (ns = 119 and 221) reflecting more egalitarian attitudes than the males (ns = 74 and 24).
