A Bibliography of Research on Learned Helplessness Prior to Introduction of the Reformulated Model (1978)

Abstract

This article is a bibliography and classification of learned helplessness reports for the years up to and including 1977. The 240 journal articles and 19 books are classified into four general categories and 13 subcategories. An analysis of the 240 journal articles found that they were published in 35 different journals with the most frequent being the Journal of Comparative and Physiological Psychology (15%), followed by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (11%), and the Journal of Experimental Psychology (7%).
