Differences in intimacy were indicated by ranks assigned a series of “behaviors” (e.g., kiss, to go to movies with, to protect, to work with) by 63 Italian students and 39 Americans. There were no sex differences. Four behaviors seen as more intimate by Triandis' Greek students than by Americans were not ranked differently by the present groups of Italians and Americans.
