The relationship between personal characteristics and employees' attitudes toward technological change was assessed for 300 subjects working in a Vietnamese bank. In general, employees' reactions toward change were unfavorable, and their age, sex, and length of service were not related to the technological change. These results are unlike those found in the United States and are to be interpreted in terms of social and cultural aspects of the Vietnamese people.
