The present study assessed the factor structure of the Adjective Check List under the instructional sets of “self” and “ideal” ratings for 22 disturbed and 49 normal girls. Factor structures obtained under these two conditions indicated that the constructs evaluated by this instrument were similar even when the instructional sets differed.
