80 female nursing students' social acceptance of recovered alcoholic persons and attitudes toward alcoholism were assessed with a questionnaire. Two attitudinal factors affected the level of social acceptance of recovered alcoholic persons; these factors were the alcoholics' inability to control drinking and their ability to recover.
