A factor analysis of the Children's Reports of Parental Behavior Inventory (Schaefer, 1965) for 45 elementary school-age children resulted in three factors: Psychological Autonomy versus Psychological Control, Acceptance versus Rejection, and Inconsistent Discipline. These findings replicate previous research of children's and adults' views of their patents' behaviors.
