Abstract
A questionnaire dealing with the attitudes married women have regarding their sex-related roles was administered to 139 married women in the Wichita, Kansas area. 16 factors underlying the attitudes married women held regarding female roles were uncovered: marital satisfaction, sex-role frustration, traditional values, value about motherhood, feelings about men, age, breaking the stereotype, membership in the feminist movement, opinion of men, relationships with women, financial equality in marriage, resentment of versus enjoyment of the homemaker role, income, educational achievement orientation, acceptance of the housewife role, acceptance of the marital decision.
