Abstract
The purposes of the study were to investigate whether there were differences between work values of youthful female workers on different social positions and of the youthful workers and high school girls used to norm the Super's Work Values Inventory. There were no significant differences between the means of the scales when compared by work level, but differences between the groups youthful workers and normative sample on a number of the scales. The sample from Maine tended to be more concerned about extrinsic than intrinsic variables in their careers.
