A two-stage procedure was used to reduce 75 factors isolated in 11 selected studies of students' evaluation of instruction to six major dimensions: I. Effort demanded by instructor, II. Instructor's preparation and organization, III. Instructor's evaluation of student performance, IV. Instructor's knowledge of subject, V. Value of course to student, and VI. Instructor's friendliness and regard for student. Each dimension is illustrated with four rating items.
