Completion of a 9-mo. vocational training program by 22 of 51 ex-addicts was unrelated to general personality traits and the degree of psychopathology as assessed by 6 standard psychological tests. Completion of the program was related to having more mature attitudes about careers and more knowledge of and competency in career decision-making, as assessed by the Career Maturity Inventory.
