Abstract
67 subjects comprising elementary school teachers, special educators, and parents of emotionally disturbed children rated each of 55 behavioral descriptors in terms of their importance for child mental health. Special educators attached significantly greater importance to personality problems than did the parents (p < .05), while parents attached significantly greater importance to socialized delinquency behaviors than did special educators (p < .05). Interpretations and implications of these findings are discussed.
