Abstract
The Personal Satisfaction Form is a semi-structured interview procedure for evaluating outcome in psychotherapy. Patients are asked to discuss and provide behavioral examples of their subjective experience of satisfaction in eight areas of living. Each area is rated, independently, on a seven-point scale. Ratings are then summed to provide a single numerical index of satisfaction. Ratings of satisfaction were collected before and after therapy with 43 outpatients and found to be highly reliable. Evidence is also presented for both convergent and divergent validity.
