Abstract
The impact of aniseikonic spatial distortion on body feelings and fantasies was studied. 16 males and 21 females responded to Holtzman inkblots both before and during aniseikonic alteration. This was done to evaluate alterations in the body-image boundary. Ss also responded to questionnaires measuring unusual body-image sensations and minor body symptoms, and they rated their perceptual experience on a variety of Semantic Differential continua. The major positive finding substantiated the hypothesis that the boundary of the male is more vulnerable to disruption than is the boundary of the female.
