Abstract
This study identified personality differences among 3 groups of students who went for extensive personal counseling, who received disciplinary punishment from the dean of students, and who withdrew from school during the first semester; and 3 groups of matched controls who received no counseling, no discipline, and were still in school, respectively. Multiple discriminant analysis identified significant personality differences between counseled Ss and controls and between disciplined Ss and controls. A method for using this information for prediction of students' problems was suggested.
