Abstract
The socialization scale of the California Psychological Inventory was administered to 3 groups of Ss, these being normals, level I delinquents convicted of minor offenses and level II delinquents convicted of felonies. Significant differences (p < .001) were obtained between scores of normals and level I delinquents and between normals and level II delinquents, but not between delinquent groups. It was concluded that the socialization scale was a useful measure for noting proneness to delinquency but not for discriminating degree of delinquency.
