Abstract
In a test of the hypothesis that as the level of education increases flexibility of attitude also increases, 2 groups of 80 college freshmen, 40 males and 40 females, and 80 college seniors, 40 males and 40 females, were surveyed. Ss were presented a questionnaire in which they were asked to rate 7 nationalities in order of preference for a roommate. Seniors were significantly more flexible in their attitudes toward the nationalities than the freshmen; females were more flexible than males, and the difference increased as the educational level increased.
