A projective test of Hostile Press motivation was given to 39 men and women, members of groups actively protesting the United States military policy in Viet Nam and 60 non-protest group members. The protest group Ss had significantly higher Hostile Press scores than the non-protest group members. Some speculative interpretation of the results was attempted.
