Investigation of the relationship between completion of the Twenty-statements Test and intelligence indicates that completers of the test are more intelligent than are noncompleters when the test is rapidly administered. Elimination of incomplete protocols from analysis therefore biases the working sample in favor of the more intelligent respondents. Administration times of at least 12 min. or the use of shorter forms can be expected to reduce or eliminate this bias.
